About Mt. Hood Organic Farms
Mt. Hood Organic Farms is a dedicated Organic orchard, with some old growth trees and newer trees trellised in the European way to maximize sun exposure. The trees look smaller than most conventional orchards but are covered in healthy fruit!
John and Brady bought this mountainous terrain over thirty years ago in the search for a quiet home to start a family. John was a traveler, but once his child was born he decided to find an occupation that would keep him close to home, so he planted a few apple trees. It swelled to over 200 acres but is back to a more manageable 50. They also have an amazing wedding venue and a twenties-era sorting machine that sounds like distant chimes. The quality of fruit is evident in John’s passion and desire to learn and adapt on a daily basis.
