About Andersen Organics
Brian Andersen develops and utilizes regenerative-organic farming practices to grow yellow, red, white, and sweet onions, red and yellow cippolini-onions, shallots, asparagus, butternut squash and pie pumpkins, spelt, wheat, and multi-species cover crops in the Columbia Basin, based primarily in Othello, WA. When we first started implementing organic farming practices we didn’t understand how much carbon was released into the atmosphere through tillage. We didn’t understand how much carbon was sequestered into the soil through photosynthesis.
Andersen Organics is working to become carbon-neutral. We are currently testing nutrient density on a crop-by-crop basis to understand how healthier soil can influence the health of the produce.
